The aim of the band and guitar ensemble programs is to provide musical enrichment through the playing of an instrument. The school band program offers Year 3-6 students an opportunity to join the training or concert band, which is directed by a professional conductor. Students train twice a week and play at various performances throughout the year, both at the school and in the community including various festivals. Band students also get the opportunity to attend a two-day band camp. Students joining the band for the first time will start in the training band and then progress to the concert band in their second year.

Students joining the guitar ensemble for the first time will start in the debut ensemble and then graduate to the intermediate ensemble after one year. Guitar students train once a week and play at various performances at the school and in the community. The students also get the opportunity to attend a two-day band camp.
